Occupation: Assistant Manager Of
Gamestop/Music Technology Major/Singer Website: www.myspace.com/escapingm - emory Marital Status: Single From Stephen: It almost seems unreal. I had a dream about this place last night, got up and found this website. I attended in '96. This was undoubtfully the best summer of my life...and I was so scared to go in the first place too. I remember my counselor Simon, and his best friend Dan. They were both from England. I remember the hikes, the ceramics, the rafting, the blob, everything. It almost broke my heart to see that it was shut down, but then I saw it is re-opening. Although my childhood is over, may it live on in so many other kids in the future. *trumpets sound* GOOOOOOD MORNING CAMPERS!!!!! God, I miss being 11 again. |

Occupation: Sub. Teacher
Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 From Tracy: What a great web site! My sister, Beth found it one day while googleing Camp Mishemokwa. Those summers were the best (79-84). I went from camper to CIT to Kitchen Staff. We (Leanne and myself) were the kitchen pups and the grounds crew (Greg and Paul) were the yard dogs. What great times!! |

Occupation: Actress/Musician/Travel
Writer Website: www.savagetree.org Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 1 From Kristi: Wow! My brother Evan and I were just talking about how we want to get a Blob of our very own. I ended up at college with Liz Kniep and it took us almost a year to realize we knew each other from our summer being C.I.T.s at Mishemokwa. I think that was 1988, the year all my campers started hyperventillating during a inclement weather campout on Burnt Shirt. I wish I could remember more names. Carla Eaton is the only person that was there every year my brother and I were there. I remember Victor Cretella, the Cockney arts and crafts teacher calling me a "naughy gerl", losing in softball to the campers from Blue Star, Raquel, not being able to hold hands with boyfriends in public, Matt "Flagg" Russel and his yo-yo, making lots of ceramic pieces, square dancing on the tennis courts, the slime on my feet while swimming the lower lake, the .22 course & archery range, the cave where a girl "got into trouble," Acid Man, the trivia contests for candy bars, peer pressure to shave my legs (at 9-years-old!), never being able to stay awake during screenings of Planet of the Apes or Jaws, roller parties in the gym and the time before the gate went up between the girls and boys cabins. I live in Decatur, Ga., now with my husband Robert Sanders and the most wonderful little boy in the world. In our copious amounts of spare time, we run the Savage Tree Arts Project, a non-profit arts organization, multi-disciplinary school and festival producer. |

I wonder what Doc thougt of that! |

Occupation: Theatrical Editor
Marital Status: Single From Carla: I went to Camp Mishemokwa from 1992-1996. I went from camper to CIT to counselor! I have fond memories of camp, truly some of the best summers ever. Camp always felt like one big adventure, and I can still remember every detail like I was just there, even though it's been ten years. I am still in touch with my partner in crime, John Metz. I now live in West Hollywood, CA, where I work as a theatrical editor (movie subtitling/dubbing). I learned so much from camp and it gave me so many outlets for expressing myself and discovering new talents, including many practical abilities like shoot rifles and using bows and arrows, haha. I wish Camp was still around, I was sad to hear it closed. |

Occupation: Company Director
Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 1 From Adam: What a find. Can't believe this site exists - well done to those who set it up. I attended as a counsellor in 91 - the era of Martin Harper, Skeeter, Jeff, Duncan, Dana, PJ, Sibbo, Andy, Jo-king, etc. Can't believe I've managed to reel all those names of with ease - 15 years on! I still see a lot of Duncan (who got married last year) but have lost contact with all the others much to my regret. Some very, very happy memories of Mishmokwa (no booze for 3 months..how did that work??). I recall a very interesting trip for the councillors down to Daytona after the close of camp.. Hope to hear from some of you guys. |
